"The medium is the message."

In my work I use mixture of natural and processed materials- from acrylic to casein, I love to get my hands dirty while using all sorts depending on what I source from around our home and travels- be it clay, sand, silt or coals for pigment, my interest lies in deeper understanding- though, so far, all I can say with certainty is that material- the medium matters.

It asks question, it demands to know- what is right and what is important- what matters after all.

Some materials are archival quality and some could never be so- my art is made to last but in no way to be immortal- it is made to scar proudly, age well and occasionally to metamorph, if and when the time is right. (read On Metamorphosis)
